CTI- Southeast Asia will talk about marine biodiversity and conservation at Ripple: The Ultimate Geography Quest (Midyear Round) on July 9, 2016, Saturday at Pillar Herrera Hall and the UP Academic oval from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Ripple is a one-day forum organized by the Junior Philippine Geographical Society – University of the Philippines Diliman (JPGS – UPD).
International fisheries expert, Dr. Annadel Cabanban and Documentation Specialist, Angelo Jose Lumba will talk about threats to ocean and coastal habitats as well as initiatives done to protect marine biodiversity in the Coral Triangle particularly the Sulu-Sulawesi ecoregion.
Geography 1 students and other guests will enjoy an amazing race challenge and war games in the afternoon after the morning forum. Ripple also celebrates JPGS – UPD’s 11th year anniversary.
