Turtle Islands Wildlife Sanctuary Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment

This study included the assessment of natural disaster risks, including earthquakes and soil liquefaction, in addition to typhoons, floods, rain-induced landslides, storm surges, and sea level rise. The assessment profile serves as a basis to formulate proposed Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) measures for the areas surveyed in Turtle Islands, Palawan.

  • Hazard and risk-mapping

  • Hazard exposure assessment (Population Exposure to Flood, Landslide, and Sea Level Rise of 1.0 – 6.0 m)
  • Physical and biological features of the islands as well as topographic maps
